Hermann Fischer

The flies of Hermann Fischer, Canadian fly tying champion, are beautiful, and yet Hermann assembles them with what seems to be only a few deft movements. “I love the look I can get with the right materials and careful designs,” says Hermann. “These flies are meant to really look like what the fish is eating, and I’m pleased when other tyers think so, too. But when the fish think my flies look right—that’s what pleases me the most!”
